From time to time “live with ILVE” will be lucky enough to feature expert guest bloggers from different areas of interest within the kitchen industry.
Sarima Blakey joins us today from Exponential Design, and was the Senior Designer behind our award winning designEX 2011 stand.
Exponential Design is a multi-disciplined design practice specialising in interior architecture, retail, exhibit and graphic design.
ILVE’s vision for their designEX 2011 stand was clear. They wanted to make a spectacular, attention grabbing brand statement that showcased the stunning ILVE appliances. ILVE’s advertising campaign is unforgettable, glamorous, edgy and sexy. I wanted to capture these ideas in the design of their exhibit at designEX.
I imagined a towering, sleek, architectural presence that cut through the clutter of the other exhibitors and enticed people into the ILVE world. I wanted to create a space that was true to their brand positioning statement, ‘Get Lost in the Moment’. So it was aromatic cooking, upbeat music, and amazing taste experiences that filled the space alongside a showcase of their latest, high performance, ILVE appliances.
The mood was dramatic. It was black on black plays of texture, layer and light, complemented by shocking pink colour accents. In addition to the brand experience, the ILVE exhibit has been custom designed and purpose built for re-use with more appearances to come at shows all round Australia.
